I'm of the opinion that fixing shield bonuses would fix most of this, sort of like how you've added melee defence for shield wielders, however I would argue for going a step further and messing with armour base levels and applying shield bonuses. Any plans to tackle the damage/armour skew at any point? I talk more at length about this over on the thread above but by this i mean, great weapon shock troops not actually doing more damage in most situations than a shield variant.
